The art for Front Street involved taking aerial maps of the Issaquah area, outlining the natural water systems, and using sections of Issaquah creek as a basis of design. The pieces capture something that is unique to the area and celebrates it in a way that is a snapshot of time. The water route is flanked by concentric morphing shapes that radiate outward, which represents the passage of time and change. These pieces observe the present and relay a sense of what could be. Functionally the art screens provide transparency and parking lot screening that adjacent business owners desired.
